This rugged route passes along the bottom of Race Brook Falls, then climbs through beautiful forest to a scenic lookout beyond the summit of Mount Everett.

Mount Everett is named after a 19th-century governor of Massachusetts, Edward Everett. It was previously known as Bald Mountain, or Ball Mountain, or just “The Dome”.
