Pitchoff Information
Pitchoff Mountain sits on the southern end of the Sentinel Range, a wild and largely untrailed section of The Adirondack Park.
Pitchoff has a long ridge with several peaks. The actual summit which lies on the west end of the ridge is not quite viewless. It offers obstructed views of Cascade Mountain to the south and Hurricane Mountain to the east.
A lower summit to the northeast offers 360° views that take in the two lakes below, many High Peaks of the Adirondacks, and even, in clear weather, the Green Mountains of Vermont.
