Cornell

Remote and wonderful, this mountain is a joy to hike. Cornell Crack is a well-known Catskills hiking highlight and, just past the summit, there’s an astonishing scenic view.

Hike Slide, Cornell & Wittenberg

This is my favorite tough-but-beautiful Catskills hike. Long, rugged, technical and remote, it brings you over three summits to some of the most stunning lookouts in the Catskill Park.

Best Day Hike in the Catskills: Wittenberg, Cornell, Slide

As rugged as I suspected — but more beautiful than I imagined.

Hike Wittenberg & Cornell from Woodland Valley

This is a long and tiring but incredibly rewarding hike. This hike was also memorable because my buddy and I met two hikers from New Jersey who got into serious trouble the same day, kicking off a massive rescue response.
